Powerful Pickpockets [ Use chopsticks ]

Word of Advise for people when travelling into China.
Besides keeping your belonging out of sight and properly in your bags or pocket,

A) Be alert all the time on the street and in shopping center or super market.
See something, just walked away and don't be a hero unless it is your friend who is the victim.

B) If you are alone and catch the culprit, just take back your belongings and let it go..... in small towns like Chang Ping, the police cannot be bothered actually. So no point going thru the hazzle in reporting. Mind you, usually the shopping center security guard don't even bother to help.

C) If you have 2 or more friends and caught the culprit, 1 or 2 of you should hold on to the culprit [b]PLUS keep your eyes open, while the other person must look out for his /her accomplice who might have weapons coming near you / your friends. Then let that idiot go as long as you have your items back in 1 piece. No point reporting. Don't believe, try it one day, you will understand that you are not in Singapore. Maybe in Beijing or ShangHai or SuZhou, the police are much educated, I don't know.

D) If you are travelling with your g/f or wife, advise them not to carry any bags rather than sorry.

E) After your errands, hop on to a cab or car, go straight home with your grocery / shopping items.

did i just see a kid pickpocketing?

And what's even more shocking, the people who saw it, did not intervene.

It was reported in the news and what I saw was a video version. It was amazing, they can fish out someones wallet using a pair of chopsticks and in broad daylight with the whole street full of people.

What's even more disgusting is that caught on tape was one guy who fished off a mp3 player, the victim was listening to it, and when he realized that there was no more sound, he felt for it and it was missing, He caught the guy just immediately as he turned around, and the thief actually punched the guy back. And they engaged in a brawl.. What the hell....

and the police isnt doing anything....wow

It's actually very interesting that you brought this subject up because because it seems as though the people getting pick pocketed thought the same race, judged by their clothing are not locals.

This is where a disregard for socio economic trades kicks in, people really should be careful and know the are or city which they are visiting.

For example, in parts of brooklyn,New York there is areas where muggings occur every day and nobody does anything about it, because the way most people are brought up with an idea in their mind that there is little worth going through to go through the trouble of contacting enforcements, when it will simply affect your current motives.
